A Work Instability Scale questionnaire consisting of 30 statements made by nurses (NURSE-WIS). Answers are given using a binary TRUE / NOT TRUE format dependent on whether they apply to the respondent. NURSE-WIS is a simple, validated screening tool for Work Instability (the consequences of a mis-match between an individual's functional ability and their work tasks). This is a self-administered measure enabling the monitoring the risk of sickness absence/job retention problems in nurses.
