A quick reference guide developed by the Leeds Dental Institute Medical Emergencies (ME) Steering Group to support dental practitioners in both the clinical area and during medical emergency training. The guide reflects current clinical practice guidance which has been tailored to a dental context and forms a core strand to the Leeds Dental Institute ME standard. The guide covers the ABCDE approach, acute cardiac ischaemia, anaphylaxis, asthma, hyperventilation, hypoglycaemia, seizure management, syncope, oxygen, adult basic life support and automated external defibrillation.
