Risk Score for Developing Inflammatory Arthritis
Prediction scores for identifying persons at risk of developing inflammatory arthritis (IA), based on multidimensional biomarkers.
Technology No. 22056
This work has developed a comprehensive prediction score for individuals at risk of developing inflammatory arthritis (IA). The tool was designed for people presenting with new musculoskeletal symptoms, a positive anticitrullinated protein antibody (anti-CCP) test, and no clinical synovitis.
By integrating a wide range of biomarkers — including serological, genetic, and ultrasound features — the comprehensive score enables accurate risk stratification. It identifies individuals at particularly high risk of progression to IA, providing a valuable tool for selecting participants for intervention trials and guiding early clinical management strategies.
