Lupus Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease Activity (LAMDA28)
LAMDA (Lupus Musculoskeletal Disease Activity Assessment) is a score to assess arthritis in people with lupus.
The Lupus Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease Activity (LAMDA) score is a composite outcome developed by researchers at the University of Leeds that measures arthritis and musculoskeletal (MSK) disease activity in people with lupus. It combines widely available clinical measurements, laboratory tests and physician- and participant-reported outcomes to create a score that is closely associated with the burden of inflammation visible in the joints on ultrasound. Ultrasound inflammation is an objective measure of disease activity that has been shown to associate with symptoms and response to therapy but is less feasible to measure directly in a trial setting. Advantages over previous instruments include a continuous scale to capture partial change, greater responsiveness, association with quality of life, and defined thresholds for study eligibility, minimal clinically important difference and low disease activity.

• Original UK/English version: Free of charge for academic/research use only (i.e. strictly non-commercial purposes).
• Approval Process: All licence requests are subject to review and approval.
• Eligibility: Academic/research licences are only granted to individuals affiliated with a university or recognised research institution.
• Email Requirement: Requests must be submitted using an academic email address (either your own or your supervisor’s).
